I married my college sweetheart, while still in college. We got married on a Friday, at the Justice of the Peace, and didn't tell anyone. We spent the weekend together, and on Sunday night we looked at each other and said "What the hell did we do?". Monday morning, we skipped our classes, and went back to the JP to get it annulled. Luckily these were the days before everything was computerized, and the clerk hadn't registered (filed?) the papers yet. She asked if we wanted to shred them, and then did so on the spot. We lost the fees, but legally our marriage never took place. I guess the only record would be that we filed for a marriage license, if that.

 I'm sitting there waiting in the back of my truck when one of my friends pull up.
