I started playing w3 last week, I have absolutely no prior knowledge about the series, be that game, book, or TV show. Witcher 3 is my introduction to the series, so I knew nothing about the characters going into it, but the bestiary page on the characters helped me learn who/what all the characters are and what they mean to Geralt. But dear God if Roach stops running while I'm trying to escape from a ??? leveled wyvern again causing me to die and lose 4 hours of exploration because I'm dumb and forgot to save, I might cry.

 I'm sitting there waiting in the back of my truck when one of my friends pull up.
